SBM Offshore has sealed the deal to provide the FPSO for ExxonMobil’s Liza oilfield development project in Guyana.
It says it will construct, install, lease and operate the converted VLCC. However, it declined to reveal the length of the deal or what the contract was worth.
The Dutch contractor said the award of the contract follows completion of front-end engineering studies and the final investment decision by ExxonMobil.
