Singapore's Marco Polo Marine has secured court protection from any legal action by creditors.
The shield lasts until 31 August, the offshore shipowner said.
It also includes Marco Polo Shipyard.
A high court hearing for a scheme moratorium had been pushed back to 6 July at the request of the company.
Marco Polo's shares were suspended in May after the company said its lenders would not back its restructuring plans.
