Italian subsea contractor Saipem has trimmed its revenue guidance by 5% for the year because of limited new contracts in the offshore sector.

The Milan-listed company says it won €2.08bn ($2.42bn) of contracts in the first half, compared with €3.3bn in the same period last year. This is partly related to reduced work for its offshore drilling fleet and falling volumes in offshore engineering and construction.
