Gulf Marine Services has sent a third self-elevating support vessel (SESV) from the oil-and-gas sector into renewables.

The Abu Dhabi-headquartered, London Stock Exchange-listed contractor and liftboat owner said it has won an eight-month contract, including options, for one of its “large-class” SESVs with an unnamed client for a wind farm in European waters.

The unit will begin work in the third quarter after completing its long-term charter in the oil-and-gas sector, also in Europe.
