DarrenYeo has been named as his successor and has joined the company from fellowSingapore offshore outfit Swiber Holdings.

Industrysources say that Schau plans to launch a new ship finance venture early in Singaporesometime in the New Year.

Unconfirmed reports suggest Far East veteran and colleague Larry Pupkin will be joining him in the new venture.

Schau,who has over ten years of experience in the financial sector and over fiveyears in ship broking, joined Vallianz in September 2010.

Beforejoining Vallianz Schau was previously managing partner of RS Plato Finns’ operation in Singapore.

There he specialised in private placementof equity, where he placed a number of vessels, with assets under management ofjust under $1bn.

Vallianzis listed on Singapore’s sponsor-supervisedlisting board Catalist, which is modeled on the London Stock Exchange'sAlternative Investment Market (AIM).

It recently reported a third quarter profitof $281,000 against a loss of almost $900,000 a year ago. Revenue was up 42% toalmost $3m.
