The 1,000-dwt Mermaid Cove will support the FPSO operationsof the mining giant’s petroleum wing off the North West coast of Australia.
The vessel is currently under construction at ASL Marine inSingapore and is scheduled for delivery later this year.
In the meantime the Mermaid Supporter will act as lead in vessel.
The contract is for an initial period of five years andcomes with two additional one year options.
