The owner – spun off from Nordic American Tanker (NAT) lastyear – said it has agreed to buy the vessels from an Ulstein company fordelivery in January 2015.
The newbuildings will cost $44m each, compared to the $45meach it paid in November for six 4,200-dwt sisters from Ulstein’s Blue Ship Invest:the Blue Protector, Blue Guardian, Blue Thunder and Blue Power (all built2013), as well as the Blue Prosper and Blue Fighter (both built 2012).
