The Vard 1 08-type ships will be built in Asia for operations supporting the Ichthys LNG project.
The contract period is for five firm years at AUD 160m ($145m), with two five-year options bringing the potential total to AUD 500m.
Delivery is set for late 2015 and early 2016 respectively.
