The ship is scheduled for delivery in 2016, while there is an option for a further three similar vessels. The newbuilding will be equipped for operating in arctic conditions, including requirements for maintaining safety and operability in ice and at low temperatures.
According to Clarksons, Tidewater's fleet total 393 vessels, of which 68 are PSVs.
The new vessel will be operated by Norwegian Troms Offshore Supply Group, a 100%-owned subsidiary of Tidewater.
