The 53-year old Giddens ended much market speculation as to his intentions for the future this week by announcing that he has started a new subsea service company called Tasik Subsea, a project he is working in partnership on with his longtime vessel collaborator Mike Meade of M3 Marine.
Based in Gidden’s longtime home of Singapore, Tasik has just signed an order for a 105m subsea operations, diving and ROV support vessel at Fujian Mawei Shipyard in China.
