The Sevan designed unit will be built at the Cosco Shipyard, in Nantong for delivery in the third quarter of 2016.
No financial terms were disclosed. Teekay now has three of the units under construction in China.
Teekay moved into the accommodation sector in May when it agreed to acquire start-up Logitel Offshore Holdings.
Logitel was set up by Sevan Marine deputy chairman Arne Smedal and in June 2013 acquired two Sevan design cylindrical hulls that were laid up in China.
