The US offshore vessel owner and builder, which has a sizeable presence in the Brazilian market, will expand land leased from Prumo to more 284,000 square metres, from 255,000 square metres. Its wharfline grows to 490 metres from 440 metres.

Plus, ECO has the option until October 2015 to expand further.

ECO struck a deal in April to lease land from Prumo, formerly LLX, to build a large offshore support base and the potential shipyard facility, representing an investment of some BRL 950m ($417m).

The
