Jurong Shipyardhas been contracted by Modec to convert a VLCC into a FPSO for deployment off Ghana.
When completed in late 2015, the FPSO will have a capacity of production and treatment of 80,000 bpd of crude oil and an onboard storage capacity of 1.7m barrels.
The FPSO will host multiple subsea tiebacks from three reservoirs in the Deep Water Tano block off of the coast of West Africa.
