Compatriot dredging group De Vries & Van de Wiel has commissioned the Groningen-based company to make a vessel – to be named Wieringen – suitable for hydrographic research under the UK flag.
Upon its redelivery to De Vries & Van de Wiel, it will be deployed under exclusive contracts for the company.
A number of structural and equipment modifications have been made to the vessel, including installing various fixed sensors and larger batteries at Nauplius’ temporary location in Hindeloopen.
