Havila Shipping has become the first Oslo-listed offshore vessel owner to post a negative result for the third quarter.
The Njal Saevik-led company booked a loss of NOK 72.3m ($8.9m), compared to earnings of NOK 72.1m in the corresponding period of 2014.
Havila said the spot market from July to September was characterised by supply far exceeding demand and operating expenses exceeding the vessels’ revenue.
