A congressional inquiry panel in Brazil has voted to deepen its probe into 10 companies, including three Asian shipbuilders, over alleged corruption connected to Petrobras.

The yard groups are Kawasaki Heavy Industries of Japan, and Singapore's SembCorp Marine and Keppel Corp, whose Keppel FELS Brasil subsidiary is named.

The vote also recommends putting an end to the panel's probe of Brazilian offshore vessel owner Astromaritima Navigacao and and Gandra Brokerage, which represented arms of Danish shipping giant AP Moller-Maersk in Brazil.
