Clarksons says offshore rig and drillship utilisation is at its lowest point in 30 years, highlighting the tough market facing the offshore vessel sector.
The UK shipbroking giant’s research arm said global rig utilisation declined to 70% in 2015, down from 87% at the end of last year.
Floating unit utilisation slumped to 77%, which was a decrease from 91% last year and 97% in 2013.
