Oslo-listed offshore shipowner Subsea 7 has revealed it has stacked another seven ships as it fights to maintain profitability in depressed markets.

The vessels were idled at the end of the quarter and one chartered-in unit was released.

In November, it said it had laid up six ships and planned to remove 12 in total early in 2016.

Net profit was down to $147m in the first three months against $151m in 2015.
