Seabird Exploration of Cyprus has secured a contract extension for one of its seismic survey vessels.
The Oslo-listed offshore contractor says Spectrum has locked in the 4,500-hp Hawk Explorer (built 1984) through September.
The deal, which involves a two-dimensional survey off Brazil, is worth between $7 and $8m, according to a securities filing.
Headquartered in Limassol, Cyprus, Seabird exploration oversees a fleet of eight seismic survey vessels and is involved in the 2, 3 and 4-dimensional data markets.
