Rem Offshore has racked up another newbuilding order at Kleven Verft after penning a subsea vessel at its favourite shipyard.
Age Remoy’s Rem will pay NOK 550m ($95.49m) for the ship which will be rolled out in June of next year.
Remoy tells TradeWinds the contract is motivated by a belief rates in the subsea business are set to strengthen.
He explains the order is speculative but the company is confident a period contract can be secured prior to delivery.
