French offshore shipping group Bourbon’s chairman and owner Jacques de Chateauvieux has denied talks aimed at taking the company private.
Bourbon said in a statement that the French businessman “formally denies conducting any negotiations aimed at delisting Bourbon,” Bloomberg reported.
He was responding to the news wire’s report – citing sources familiar with the matter - that he was speaking with financial advisors over an offer for the group’s remaining shares in a bid to delist it in the offshore downturn.
