The owners of two ships bareboat chartered by Singapore's Emas Offshore (EOL) have demanded nearly $54m in alleged unpaid fees.
The sub-charters for the 4,700-dwt Lewek Toucan (built 2008) and the 10,800-bhp Lewek Pelican (built 2007) were terminated by an unnamed operator earlier this month.
As a result, two notices of demand were issued by owners Seabird Penguin Offshore and Seabird Pelican Offshore to EOL.
