Dutch owner Fugro has teamed up with Amplified Geochemical Imaging (AGI) for offshore hydrocarbon survey work off Canada's east coast next year.
Data will be used to identify and precisely target the best locations for geochemical sampling, enabling clients to improve exploration programmes, it said.
The 1,350-dwt research ship Fugro Discovery (built 1997) will be deployed to bring in data from 10,500 square km.
