GulfMark targets Mexico with new joint venture

GulfMark Offshore has its eyes on Mexico’s expanding offshore sector after agreeing a new joint venture with a domestic operator.

The US-listed company has teamed up with Marcos y Asociados Infraestructura y Energia SC (Marcos y Asociados) to form GulfMark Servicios de Mexico.

The joint venture, which is majority Mexican owned, will provide Mexican and foreign flagged OSVs to GulfMark’s Mexican customer base, which has been expanding since the company began operations in Mexico in 2005.
