Restructuring Oslo-listed owner Oceanteam has found a new backer in the shape of shipping investor Keesjan Cordia.

The OSV company said it had reached a preliminary agreement with the founder and former CEO of jack-up operator Seafox to take a "substantial shareholding".

He will also strengthen the board of directors after pumping in NOK 20m ($2.56m) of equity.

The move must be approved by shareholders at an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) on 13 April.
