Pacific Basin keeps shrinking its towage business as it has sold two units to Greece’s Vernicos Tugs & Salvage.
Vernicos has added the 5,000-bhp PB Kaituna (built 2008) and PB Komata (built 2009) for an undisclosed price.
With the latest addition of the two sisterships, the Greek owner now controls a fleet of 18 tugs.
It is believed that these were the last two tugs to be owned by Pacific Basin.
