The North Sea platform supply vessel (PSV) spot market was sold out on Friday as rates doubled.
Brokers' lists showed no prompt ships available in Norway and the UK, meaning a working fleet of 67 ships are temporarily all employed.
There are fewer and fewer vessels in layup too, with broker Westshore showing 94 idled in North Sea ports, down from more than 100 a few weeks ago.
