Norway's Solstad Farstad has chartered out a construction service vessel (CSV) for six months.

It has entered into a contract with Fugro Netherlands Marine for the 92-metre Normand Flower (built 2002) for operations in North European waters.

The deal starts at the end of March. No rate was given, as is common with OSV contracts.

"We experience an increasing demand for CSV tonnage in the North Sea and we are very pleased to be awarded our second vessel contract with Fugro," said Hans Knut Skar, EVP of subsea constructions and renewable energy at Solstad Farstad.
