Norwegian OSV giant SolstadFarstad has announced "significant" new contract awards that add 2,500 days to its charter backlog.
The company said Total's Maersk Oil has awarded a deal for four platform supply vessels (PSVs) for operations in the UK North Sea.
The 4,000-dwt Sea Tantalus (built 2013) and the 3,700-dwt Far Server (built 2010) will support the semi-submersible drilling rig Ocean Valiant for about two years, starting this month.
