France's Brittany Ferries has extended the charter of a freight ro-ro operating from Poole for two years.
The 12,100-gt Pelican (built 1999) will continue to operate to Bilbao in Spain, the Bournemouth Echo reported.
The vessel was brought in from owner Maritime Nantaise last February.
It makes two round trips each week.
The vessel has the capacity for around 100 unaccompanied trailers and 12 drivers.
