Veteran lawyer Simon Davidson has quit the board of First Ship Lease Trust in a protest surrounding the appointment of new chief financial officer Alan Mitchell.
The former Rothschild Singapore executive was brought in this September to fill a seat that has been open since 2014.
In a statement today the Trust said Davidson was unhappy about the "procedure and process” around the appointment of the CFO, singling out the “haste” of the hire.
