Pirates raid tanker

Asian pirates have boarded a Malaysian tanker and stolen its fuel cargo after tying up the crew.

The 6,900-dwt Budi Mesra Dua (built 2009) was attacked off Bintulu, Malaysia, on Saturday, local reports said.

The gunmen struck 78 miles offshore while the ship was heading to Labuan.

The Filipino captain and 22 crew were unhurt, but the cargo was siphoned off.

Malaysian authorities are hunting for the pirates.
