The navy’s public relations office told Mehr News on Wednesday that the destroyers Jamaran and Bushehr, from the 32nd fleet, responded to an incident 120 miles from the port of Al Mukalla.
A group of pirates in speedboats had attacked the tanker, but were forced away under heavy fire from the warships.
