Ardent, the merged entity of Svitzer Salvage and Titan Salvage, has secured a five-year charter from the UK to provide an emergency towing vessel (ETV).
The vessel will cover the north and north-western coasts of Scotland under a deal with the UK’s Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA).
The Marnavi-owned 139-bp anchor handler Ievoli Black (built 2010) is due to arrive on station at Kirkwall in the Orkney Islands by 31 December 2016.
