A general cargoship has had its hull torn open by a collision in the Italian port of Porto Nogaro.
Local media said the 4,800-dwt Eolo Shipping-operated Italian vessel Luca S (built 2004) was damaged in a clash with the 2,400-dwt Erdogan Senkaya (built 1991) on Monday.
The Turkish ship was coming into port, where Luca S was already moored.
The Italian vessel started taking on water, but this was contained within a ballast tank.
