A laden Mitsui OSK-owned chemical tanker ran aground earlier today along the coast of the US state of Washington, the US Coast Guard reported.
The 33,609-dwt Argent Cosmos (built 2009) lost the use of a fuel pump and ran aground at 0628 hours Pacific Time.
The US Coast Guard responded after the vessel sent incident notifications. A flyover of the grounding site saw no evidence of pollution or flooding aboard the vessel.
