Nine seafarers were missing on Tuesday after their general cargoship sank following a collision in the Vung Tao Sea.
The 3,100-dwt Hai Thanh 26-BLC (built 2010) went down 44 miles east of Vung Tao City in the early hours, local media said.
A passing tanker picked up two crew from a liferaft. They said nine colleagues were on another boat, but this was later found empty.
