Scorpio Tankers has added a sixth medium-range (MR) tanker to its series at South Korea's Hyundai Mipo and secured options for up to three more.
It has also negotiated a series of new or modified agreements with its lenders, one of which modifies existing facilities by loosening up Ebitda-to-interest expense ratios among other things, a separate second deal that consists in a new $92m newbuilding credit facility covering four earlier newbuildings contracted in June and a third agreement with other banks that extends the availability of a separate credit facility in order to partially finance the fifth and the sixth ship.
