Celebrity Cruises is buying two small cruiseships to expand its operations to the Galapagos off South America.
The Royal Caribbean company said it is acquiring Galapagos tour operator Ocean Adventures, which controls the 320-gt Athala II (built 2007) and the 1,600-gt Eclipse (built 1998), USA Today reported.
Celebrity already has a 100-passenger ship voyaging to the islands.
The new vessels will join the fleet this spring and sail under the Ocean Adventures name.
