Gener8 Maritime has confirmed the exit of two older tankers and opened the door for the sale of further assets should extra cash be required in a weaker market.
New York-listed Gener8 secured $13.9m for the Gener8 Spyridon (built 2000) and a further $30.5m for the 318,000-dwt Gener8 Ulysses (built 2003), its fourth quarter report said.
TradeWinds had previously reported the vessels sold to Avin Marine and SBM Offshore respectively.
