Greek owner Pantheon Tankers is tipped to have won the race for an MOL-controlled aframax in a closely-watched deal.

Attention has focused on the sale of the 114,000-dwt Phoenix Advance (built 2011) for the past couple of weeks, with offers due in on the ship yesterday morning London time.

While the buyer of the vessel had been unclear yesterday when the weekly edition of TradeWinds went to press, a consensus is now emerging among shipbrokers that Pantheon has bought the tanker for between $28m and $28.5m.
