Shipbroker Simpson Spence Young (SSY) has taken a “strategic decision” to close its one-man demolition department and integrate scrapping into the daily responsibilities of its London sale-and-purchase (S&P) team.
The brokerage has parted company with Robert Reid who ran the desk but SSY insists it is not quitting the demolition market.
“Demolition continues to be an important element of SSY’s S&P offering to clients,” executive director Dominic Parker told TradeWinds.
