Expanding Greek bulker owner New Vision Shipping has tied up a fourth vessel, the Kawasaki-built 55,800-dwt Nord Leader (built 2007), according to broking sources.
However, New Vision director Aris Batayiannis denies having bought the supramax, which has been reported sold for $11.5m to $11.7m, in line with expectations.
New Vision bought two bulkers last year in well-timed deals. In June 2016, it acquired the 56,000-dwt Santa Elena (built 2005) from Mitsui & Co for $7.2m.
