Adam Polemis-led owner New Shipping is said to have sold a 19-year-old VLCC as it continues its sell-off of large tankers for demolition.
The 305,000-dwt New Tinos (built 1999) is poised to be one of the first to be scrapped in Pakistan after the country’s 18-month hiatus on scrapping tankers.
The New Tinos has been sold to a cash buyer for $442 per ldt, or $19.1m,
