New York-listed Diana, which has a huge cash pile, has bought the 76,900-dwt Shoyo (built 2006), brokers say.
A price of $19.6m has been placed on the deal for the Usui Kaiun ship, for which offers were due yesterday.
Reports of Diana’s latest addition come in a week management revealed it is inspecting a vessel every five days or so as part of a prolonged fleet renewal effort.
