TheGao Yanming-controlled company has offloaded the 297,376-dwt Peace China (built 2011)and Grand China (built 2010), according to Clarksons.
“Theyhave been sold with soft financing attached to a Greek buyer for a price in theregion of $109m en-bloc,” the UK shipbroker said.
“Thisprice represents a significant premium to what would generally be accepted as parvalue for Chinese built VLCC’s, and possibly suggests that the terms of thefinance were particularly attractive from the buyers’ perspective.”
