An entity linked to the shipping focused hedge fund has agreed to buy two of the newbuildings under a novation agreement.
Klaveness had previously ordered two 82,000 dwt bulkers at Yangzijiang Shipbuilding in China with options in September.
It then subsequently negotiated a second programme for additional kamsarmax newbuildings at the same shipbuilder.
The vessels sold to Tufton Oceanic are the first two ships from the second programme, Klaveness confirmed in a statement.
