Brokers say the owner has picked up $15.4m for the 50,300-dwt Zella Oldendorff (built 2001).
Observers point to the $14.3m paid for the 53,400-dwt Frontier Angel (built 2001) in November as a sign of how far prices have improved in a short time.
Attempts to reach Oldendorff for comment on the deal were not immediately successful at the time of writing today.
