In a statement the company said it is paying out $1.1m per vessel to Hyundai Heavy Industries to shift the delivery dates on the ships from 2016. “Delivery is now expected in August and October 2015, instead of May and August 2016,” BW said.
The ships are the last of six VLGCs BW has on order at the yard. The date change means one is due for handover next year with the balance now scheduled for delivery in 2015.
