TheTaiwanese company says it has ordered four 38,000-dwt ships at $26m each andtwo 34,000-dwt ships at $25m each.

Theorders have been split between Namura Shipbuilding, Imabari Shipbuilding and athird unnamed shipbuilder.

Sesoda Corp, which is Taiwan’s largest potash manufacturer,said the newbuildings are due for delivery between 2016 and 2018.

Japanese yards haveseen a rush of newbuilding orders in the smaller bulker sizes as owners look totake advantage of improved fundamentals.
